I. SUMMARY
The Stores Shift Supervisor position at North American Airlines is responsible for maintaining and managing the aircraft supplies storage areas to ensure that NAA has all of the supplies necessary to operate safely and efficiently.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Must be computer-savvy with proficiency in the essential functions of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word (at a minimum).

*Supervising and leading stores personnel within NAA to ensure that they are versed in the safety and standards of supply management at North American Airlines.
*Supervising stores personnel to ensure all responsibilities are accomplished and people are productive.
*Inspecting incoming shipments of aircraft supplies parts to verify accurate levels of aircraft parts are on-hand at NAA.
*Updating the inventory log when new supplies arrive at North American Airlines to make sure that an adequate level of supplies is maintained at any given time.
*Arranging the logistical movement of aircraft supply parts to assist Technical Operations in obtaining the necessary aircraft parts.
*Overseeing of parts shipments from North American Airlines to other airlines.
*Supporting a 24x7 operation by being willing and available to work nights and weekends, and being flexible with work schedule.
*Other duties as assigned to assist North American Airlines in achieving its operational goals and objectives.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education and/or Experience
For the Stores Shift Supervisor job, an Associate's Degree (or its equivalent) and one to two years experience is required. In the absence of a diploma, equivalent experience will be considered. Experience with airline technical stores management is required.

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
*Strong communication skills: must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
*Must possess a strong ability to manage one's own time, as well as others' time, to ensure that the work that needs to be accomplished in a given time frame is, in fact accomplished. Hand-in-hand with this ability is the ability to prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objectives.
*An individual in this capacity must have strong leadership skills, ensuring that he or she uses appropriate methods of leadership, influence, and persuasion, to guide, manage, and develop those within their scope of supervision.
*Individuals in this capacity must be able to instruct others, imparting knowledge and abilities to develop others within their scope of supervision.
*Able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption.
*Must have a strong command of reasoned, measured decision making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision to be made.
*Must have the ability to take initiative on a given task or project and persist with the project to its completion.
*Strong working knowledge of one's field or discipline in which one finds oneself engaged on a daily basis. Becoming fully aware and informed of current trends, developments, and changes in the sub-industry is critical for this.
*When necessary, the ability to understand and communicate within a technical or specialized subject matter, particularly as it pertains to aviation and the aviation industry.

C. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid & clean driver’s license must be held for this job.

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS

A. Travel Requirements
No travel is required for this job.

B. Physical Demands
The job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.  This position requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

C. Work Environment
There is occasional exposure to hazards or risk of injury which are unpredictable or uncertain and which result in risk or personal injury.
