Stock Clerk - Maintenance

I. SUMMARY
The Stock Clerk is responsible for maintaining all parts inventories for the efficient operation and maintenance of North American Airlines aircraft.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Performing inspection upon receipt of aircraft parts from vendors to ensure accuracy and completeness of any NAA maintenance order.
*Fulfilling requests for aircraft parts for North American Airlines employees to ensure that all maintenance personnel have the supplies necessary to conduct their day-to-day business.
*Entering parts receipts into the computer from the purchase of supplies to maintain accurate financial records at North American Airlines.
*Maintaining physical inventory of all parts at North American Airlines to ensure that the correct amount of supplies are kept on hand for aircraft.
*Packaging parts shipments to be distributed to other airlines or returns to the vendors to support on-going mutual relationships with other airlines with regard to their parts supply.
*Other duties as assigned to ensure that North American Airline has the necessary supplies to operate in a way reflective of its high standards of quality and safety.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education and/or Experience
For the Stock Clerk position, a high school diploma (or equivalent) with one to two years of experience is required. In the absence of a diploma, equivalent experience will be considered. An Associate's degree is preferred. Experience in working within an aircraft parts supply warehouse and in the airline industry is preferred.    

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
*Must be willing and able to work variable shifts, and on weekends and holidays, for this 24/7 operation.
*Must have proficiency with the basic functions of Microsoft Excel.
*Must be highly detail-oriented and organized.
*Must have the ability to take initiative on a given task and persist with the task to its completion.
*Able to identify problems and their sources. While not necessarily accountable for the solutions, an individual must be able to identify potential resources to help in the decision making process for a particular problem.
*Must possess an ability to manage one's own time, to ensure that the work that needs to be accomplished in a given time frame is, in fact, accomplished. The ability to prioritize the work provided by others in terms of importance is imperative to this position.
*The ability to receive direct or indirect instruction and act upon such instruction to accomplish a given task or duty. In the event of unclear instruction, must have the ability to clearly ask for further information at their own discretion to gain clarity around tasks.
*Must have an ability to self-monitor one's progress and abilities, so as to determine areas for potential development and growth within the company.
*Strong communication skills: must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written). In addition, the ability to listen actively is important for this job as well.

*The ability to process information from a variety of sources and to articulate information in a meaningful way to one's co-workers or supervisors is critical to this position.
*Must have an interest and ability in serving others as one of the primary functions of one's job.
*When necessary, the ability to understand and communicate within a technical or specialized subject-matter, particularly as it pertains to aviation and the aviation industry.

C. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid & clean driver's license must be held for this job.

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS

A. Travel Requirements
There is no travel required for this job.

B. Physical Demands
This job has intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting materials, or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. This position requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

C. Work Environment
