I. SUMMARY
The Crew Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for the overall maintenance and supervision of the Crew Scheduling office, assuring that all flights are properly crewed and that legal issues are satisfied prior to departure of any North American flight.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Managing and supervising the Crew Scheduling Organization assuring all flights are properly crewed.
*Monitors and insuring completion of reports as required by airline policy.
*Interfacing with crew groups in order to resolve problems.
*Creating and maintaining monthly staff schedules to make sure that flights are properly scheduled.
*Recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training new crew schedulers so they meet airline standards.
*Monitoring and controlling departmental expenditures for pilot utilization and budged constraints so they fit within the budget.
*Other duties as assigned to assist North American Airlines in achieving its operational goals and objectives.

A. Education and/or Experience
For the Crew Scheduling Supervisor job, a high school diploma (or its equivalent) is required; a bachelors degree is preferred. A minimum of four to six years training is required.

*Superior communication skills: must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
*Able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption.
*Strong working knowledge of ones field or discipline in which one finds oneself engaged on a daily basis. Becoming fully aware and informed of current trends, developments, and changes in the sub-industry is critical for this.
*Must be an individual who is able to build relationships between individuals and within ones division.
*When necessary, the ability to understand and communicate within a technical or specialized subject-matter, particularly as it pertains to aviation and the aviation industry.

Very little to no travel is required for this position.
B. Physical Demands
Most of the time is spent sitting in comfortable position and there is a frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
