<b>I. SUMMARY</b>
The Supervisor Line Station Maintenance is responsible for all activities performed on North American Airlines aircraft necessary to ensure continued airworthiness and safety. This includes auditing NAA process and procedures necessary to ensure continued airworthiness and safety of NAA aircraft and personnel. This includes, but is not limited to, liaising with local airport authorities, overseeing vendors for both manpower and materials and coordinating the schedule and/or activities of the Station Lead Flight Technician if assigned to that station. This position requires a thorough understanding of NAA paperwork, policies and procedures so that the Supervisor can ensure that quality is built in to common maintenance practices. Additionally, the Supervisor Line Station Maintenance must be able and willing to perform all the duties of a Station Lead Flight Technician and Flight Technician as outlined below.
The Supervisor Line Station Maintenance will be expected to respond to AOG situations for NAA aircraft anywhere in the world when the need arises and to take control of the AOG event upon arrival.
<b>II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b>
*The Flight Technician is responsible for accompanying all North American Airlines flights to help maintain its operational reliability and to ensure continued airworthiness and safety by performing maintenance duties when needed, no matter the destination.
*Coordinate the activities of contracted maintenance personnel and the NAA Flight Technicians available for duty.
*Serve as NAA liaison with local airport authorities and communicate with JFK maintenance leaders and Maintenance Controllers as appropriate.
*Perform regularly scheduled maintenance duties and log book discrepancy rectification to ensure that the NAA fleet is adequately maintained and able to meet its goals of quality and safety.
*Communicate with the Maintenance Control division with regard to the aircrafts maintenance status to ensure that all individuals within technical and ground operations are kept abreast of an aircrafts status and can make arrangements for further maintenance.
*Providing troubleshooting guidance and supervise contracted maintenance workers on any aircraft recovery missions to ensure that expertise is transmitted to multiple levels of NAA's maintenance organization.
*Other duties as assigned to assist North American Airlines in achieving its operational goals and objectives.

<b>A. Education and/or Experience</b>
The job requirements for Flight Technician are: a current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license, a high school diploma (or its equivalent), a formal training program following high school and three to five years experience. Significant experience in the airline industry is preferred, particularly in aircraft maintenance. Must have completed 40-hour B767 General Familiarization course with GE CF6-80C2 engine, and also have completed 40-hour B757 General Familiarization course with RR Rb211 engine. Must have significant experience on 757 aircraft with Rolls Royce engine and 767 aircraft with GE CF6 engine.
Flight Technicians who are selected for this position will require completion of NAA assigned management training classes of at least 8 hours duration as designated by Tech Ops management.

*Must have strong understanding of aviation maintenance.
*Must have the ability to take initiative on a given task and persist with the task to its completion.
*Able to identify problems and their sources. While not necessarily accountable for the solutions, an individual must be able to identify potential resources to help in the decision making process for a particular problem.
*Must possess an ability to manage one's own time, to ensure that the work that needs to be accomplished in a given time frame is, in fact, accomplished. The ability to prioritize the work provided by others in terms of its importance is imperative to this position.
*The ability to receive direct or indirect instruction and act upon such instruction to accomplish a given task or duty. In the event of unclear instruction, must have the ability to clearly ask for further information at one's own discretion to gain clarity around tasks.
*Must have an ability to self-monitor one's progress and abilities, so as to determine areas for potential development and growth within the company.
*Strong communication skills: must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written). In addition, the ability to listen actively is important for this job as well.
*The ability to process information from a variety of sources and to articulate information in a meaningful way to one's co-workers or supervisors is critical to this position.
*Must have the ability to use available resources and locate resources as needed to repair NAA aircraft in any remote location.
*When necessary, the ability to understand and communicate within a technical or specialized subject matter, particularly as it pertains to aviation and the aviation industry.
<b>C. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations</b>
Incumbent must hold a current, valid FAA A&P License held for a minimum of 3 years. Must hold full certification for both the 40-hour B767 General Familiarization course with GE CF6-80C2 engine, and the 40-hour B757 General Familiarization course with RR Rb211 engine. Must have completed NAA GMM training, and hold an NAA QC Blue Card Airworthiness authorization.
Incumbent must complete NAA Leadership Training series via the company sponsored online E-Learning program. Details will be provided upon acceptance of position.

The travel requirement for this job may be up to 100% travel, depending on the needs of service.
<b>B. Physical Demands</b>
Most all of the time is spent standing/walking or sitting in the same position. There is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (20-70 lbs).
