Training Dispatcher

The Training Dispatcher is responsible for exercising and maintaining joint responsibility with the pilot in command for operational control in accordance with FAA regulations/company policies and conducting technical training of dispatch department.

Job Requirements:
*FAA Dispatch License
*FAA Ground Instructor Rating
*4-6 years of experience
*Bachelors Degree


Necessary Skills & Competencies:
Strong command of the English language including grammar, style, and punctuation for all written correspondence and oral communication.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Strong, demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to instruct others, imparting knowledge and abilities to develop others within their scope of supervision. Must be able to engage individuals using multiple learning styles.
Ability to create and execute operational plans to prevent and minimize operational disruptions.
Superior ability to pay attention to detail to ensure the timely coordination, communication and recording of operational details and events.
Ability to think tactically as well as strategically when problem solving.
Ability to give and receive directions and follow through with them to completion.

Job Responsibilities:
*Collecting, monitoring, interpreting, disseminating and applying weather and aeronautical information in order to safely plan and conduct each flight.
*Initiating request for date concerning flight planning, dispatch release and flight information developed to assure proper flight watch.
*Providing operational information to flight crews relating to facilities, Airfield serviceability, meteorological conditions, communications facilities, aircraft performance and operation date in order to ensure a safe flight.
*Conducting classroom and online training of new hire dispatchers as well as required recurrent training for currently employed dispatchers in accordance with airline policy.
*Developing and maintaining training material in order to ensure proper education.
*Coordinating with other departments to ensure the safe and legal operation of all flights.
*Calculating required fuel loads and performance limitations for each flight in order to assure a safe flight.
*Coordinating with air traffic control to provide the safest and most efficient routing between city pairs.
*Other duties as assigned to assist North American Airlines in achieving its operational goals and objectives.
